Where the Night Kind Roam

I just finished this one and I have to say I'm not quite sure about it. It has killer ghosts and a junky heroine. Yes, she had a horrible life but dang I didn't really enjoy reading about an addict wanting their next fix. I'm still kind of curious about this series, I just don't know if I'm curious enough to read the full length book. The ghost concept was kind of weird and I'm not really sure I get it. So there were always killer ghosts hanging around and one day they all decided to rise up and start killing people? How come no one could see the ghosts before, but now they could. Hmmm.. Seems far fetched even for paranormal.
